Hi David, My original implementation is based on the algorythm described here [1] which is quite efficient, I see no special benefit in using hash tables. I had planned to finish porting the code to the new filters API this summer (I know I took the task long ago, I'm ashamed of delaying it so much) so you can take other urgent tasks if you prefer.
