I created a form that uses a template. On a click of a button, the
user can add a page to the form. This is working very well as long as
there is no restriction to the form... I think that the
"spawnPageFromTemplate" method is not allowed when the restrictions
are set to "No Changing the Document".
Adding a page changes the docurment, so that's logical.
The form is meant to go on the web, so it is important to me to have
restrictions.
I thought I'd change the restrictions to "no restrictions" before
spawning the page and then set it back to "No Changing the Document"
but I can't see how?
What do you want to keep from being changed? Form fields? If so, you
can make them become read-only at critical points. I know it's a meager
suggestion, but we'll need more information about what you want to do
in order to suggest more. FWIW, you can't change security restrictions
through JavaScript. I don't think you can do that with a plug-in either.
Would you please help me?
We'll all try. Tell us what system, and what version of Acrobat you're
using; what are the users of this form using to fill it out (i.e.,
browser, Reader, Acrobat, Approval, other); what information needs to
be restricted; what happens after it's filled out.
