Well I am a programmer and know JavaScript, perl, cgi, etc. So that shouldn't be a
problem. My main concern is setting in all the fields for the form - now that's
something I haven't done before. And I can find NO documentation on 6.0 to find out
if that function has been improved at all.

But thanks for the tips.

It's not a simple answer I'm afraid. It's no problem to convert your Word or
excel documents to Adobe 5.0 pdf through printing to distiller or using the
addins. It only takes a little bit of skill to create form feilds in the pdf
for data entry. The real problem is getting the data to a database. I've
been studying this important link for 2 months and still find it very
problematic. All I now about 6.0 is they want more money for the same
functionality in that you will need to get the pro version to make forms &
no mention has been made of an upgrade to the ADBC interface. You will need
to learn or hire someone who knows javascript and or perl/cgi/sql - good
luck

Just the facts

Hi there, I'm new to the list and I have a pretty simple question (I think)

I want to create interactive forms from word and excel documents that I
currently have.

(They will be stored in a database) I own 5.0 and know I can do what I need
to do, but I'm curious if I upgrade to 6.0 if there are advantages. If
anyone knows of any it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks you
