Right you are. Your client at the other end needs at least Acrobat Approval in order to save forms with the data. That's $40, and it may not be supported. Check out Adobe's new product line on their site, and look for a product which will save data with the form. That'll be what's needed on the other end.

If you find out please share. Making forms are not problem but it seems you
need more than reader to answer a form.

Hey guys I need some advice. I want to create a PDF form that I can email
to people and have them fill out and send back. What is the best way to do
this? I can create the entire form using text boxes and radio buttons but I
am not sure how to save or export the form so that a user can then fill it
out. Also, will they be able to save the form and send it back if they
don't have a Writer? Then once I receive the form back I want to be able to
convert the variables and values to a text file. Can this system of sending
a form, receiving a filled out form back, and then writing to a text file be
done?
Thanks
