Hello:
I am trying to find a way to expand the contents of a text field to allow for tick marks between characters on the printed form.
All of my forms currently just cover the tick marks with a read-only white box if the form is filled in and printed, but leaves the tick marks visible if the form is not filled in and just printed.
Recently, however, I encountered a very cool feature on a PDF that I would like to replicate. Anybody know how to do it?

Look at the bottom of p 1 and check the behavior of the credit card # box.
