OK.
So just make an image that has transparency and turn it into a stamp. Using a vector-based image is always better for this, but you can do it with raster as well.
If it helps, my stamp is simply a scanned image of my signature.
You need to take that scan into an image editor and remove the background, THEN convert to PDF.
