Perhaps you would like to clue us in on exactly what you mean by "the text
file spools and then prints 2 or 3 pages and quits" with Acrobat 6.
What "text file"? What application(s)? What OS? Etc., etc., etc. If we can
solve THIS problem, you wouldn't have the OTHER problem.
If you are trying to "print" PDF 1.5 files that are produced by Acrobat 6
with any versions of Acrobat prior to 6, there is a very good chance that
you will have problems. The solution, if your group wants to remain with
Acrobat 5.0.5, is to request that all files provided to you be in PDF 1.4
or earlier format.
