Hi Joshua, Yes..that's one of the many advantages of pdf - they can be viewed perfectly well on another pc/mac regardless of whether they have the fonts on their machine. To embed fonts into your pdf (I'm working from version 5 her, but it shouldn't be too different in 6), select job options from your settings menu in distiller - go to fonts - tick the box that says "embed all fonts". Check that in the "watched folders" option (also under settings) that distiller is looking in the right place for the fonts to embed. This doesn't add much to the file size, and should solve your problem.
