Hi Bob,

One, there is probably an Adobe Acrobat Professional manual on your hard
drive - on my Macintosh, it is called "Acrobat 6 Help.pdf" - if you are on
windows, well, I have no idea what it is called, but it is probably in a
folder / directory called "Help"

Open it, and go to page 150.

- Many of use whom have worked with companies that develop software and
worked on manuals are always amazed that we spend nearly as much time on
manuals as we do building software - manuals that clearly walk you step by
step on how to use the software, and always include it when we ship or
install the software.

Okay, enough lecturing about RTFM.

Well, to start, you need to know a few things.

Some PDF documents are scans of paper documents and they can only be edited
in applications like Adobe Photoshop.

Some PDF documents may have been saved with security settings that, unless
you have a password, you can't make changes.

Okay, now, lets assume you want to change some text. You need to have the
font installed. Lets assume you have the font installed.

In Acrobat, under the Tools Menu, select the Advanced Editing menu item, and
cascade select the TouchUp Text Tool - then, click and drag over the text
you want to change - Save. Rinse, repeat.

If you want to change the position of an object, simply go back under the
Tools Menu, select the Advanced Editing menu item, and cascade select the
TouchUp Object Tool, click over the object to select it, then click and
drag.

To change the color of an object, you need to set up Adobe Illustrator to
enable you to select the object and then open it in Illustrator, change it
and save it back to PDF. Go to page 157 in "Acrobat 6 Help.pdf" to learn how
to set this up.

Hope this helps, and remember RTFM !
