The facts : ADOBE has changed the ASN contract about developing Acrobat
Reader plugins, with a 3 month's only notice;

Actually, Adobe announced the change concerning Reader plugins back in June, and has been working hard to contact all those currently registered/licensed for a Reader plugin.

from now on you have to pay a 2.500$ fee (per plugin) if you want develop and sell them.

$1500 for internal use, $2500 for external/commercial distribution. And if you are doing "DRM", there is a different pricing structure entirely.

Before it was free.

It has NEVER been free to develop a READER plugin. Developing for the FULL Acrobat was and remains free - BUT you've ALWAYS needed a license (and associated "enabling key") from Adobe in order to develop for Reader. However, the previous cost was only $100.

I would like to know the feelings of concerned people.
Is it possible to do something against this blow below the belt on behalf of
our "partner" ADOBE ?

Have you talked with Lori DeFurio or Amy Bayersdorfer at Adobe? They are the ones that manage the program and would be happy to discuss your concerns.
