With all due respect, you are absolutely WRONG!
Please understand that I am in a position to know what
I am talking about in this arena!

Hewlett-Packard LaserJets with 4 digit numbers, with the
exception of the 8500 and 8550 (no longer sold) do NOT, repeat
do NOT, repeat yet again do NOT use Adobe PostScript. They
use a clone.

And again for the record, the driver has nothing to do with
this since the driver does not generate the PostScript from
Acrobat.

My original advise stands with regards to attempting to
get a firmware update for the device.
