We're creating PDFs in Acrobat 5.05 from documents created in MS Word 10/XP.
These documents contain line art inserted into Word in GIF format and color
images inserted into Word as JPEGs. Everything seemed to be fine in Acrobat
5.x, however, we are finding that when viewed in Version 6 borders are
appearing around those images inserted into Word as GIFs. The JPEGs look
fine. The unwanted borders correspond to the cropped edges of the original
images inserted into Word. Have tried many different setting changes in both
Word and Acrobat but to no avail. Any suggestions for this issue would be
helpful.

An example of one of the problem documents can be found at the following
