Adam, This is for Mac OS 9.1. 1. Choose AdobePS in the Chooser and select a printer that you would normally print to, typically a laser printer on your network. This may already be done if you used AdobePS to create your desktop printers. 2. In Quark, select Print, then the Setup tab. Under Printer Description, select Acrobat Distiller in the PPD list. Check your paper size. You can also set crops and bleed under the Document tab. 3. Select the Printer... button at the bottom of the page. Set the Destination as File. Under the word Printer at the top of this window, the drop down box will have a listing of Postscript settings or Save As File (depending which version of AdobePS you have). Then you can set Postscript level, data format and font inclusion. If you want to build a selectable desktop printer to create PDFs, at the top of this screen, next to the word Printer: is a drop down box that will list all the printers selected in your chooser, and Create Adobe PDF and Virtual printer. The first time you select Create Adobe PDF here, the system will build a printer icon on your desktop that will create PDFs. On the Mac, once the desktop printer Create Adobe PDF is created, you can select it as a printer when you want to create PDFs from any application. If Create Adobe PDF didn't appear in the above step, it may be that the version of AdobePS either didn't support it or wasn't installed correctly. Roberta ...................................
