Colleagues,
On 24 Jan 2004, at 7.44 am, I wrote:
[1] - made up a test document of 8 pages in InDesign CS, 4 of which are grouped as a multiple-page spread
[2] - exported document to PDF
[3} - opened in Acrobat, which does not display the multiple-page spread.
Have I missed something or is Acrobat limited to displaying two-page spreads?
The answer from a correspondent on another list is:
All you have to do is select "spreads" in export dialogue box.
Your multipage spreads will be treated as one page each in resulting pdf.
Same applies to printing.
This is not exactly what I was looking for but at least one can proof gatefolds and so on.
I can see uses in interactive documents for Acrobat's being able to recognize and display multiple-page spreads while keeping the pages separate and moveable. I suppose I should file a feature request.
