Hi Andrew

if I understand your answer -- is that I have to go through the
security option which requires a password -- I would like to not
have to use a password to restrict the copying of the content

related to the copy protection system, it is with a copy called
digilox -- I spent a great deal of time researching all the companies
I could find and either their solution costs thousands of dollars
which didn't make sense for us -- just to put out one book
or someone else takes a cut of the money you make on your book
by selling the book through their own site
and you don't have control it

but with this solution, you get an .exe protected version
and you can make the protected versions of your book
on your own computer and offer it via download or on
a CD or they have an option with a floppy so the system
is completely stand alone

now I also personally tested their system with friends all over
the world and also I was concerned would this system be too
complicated and thus frustrate our customers. I found that
it is pretty easy to use for the publisher and that it wasn't
so complicated for the customer.

This sytem really prevents your PDF file from
being copied to another computer -- it also allows you to move
the protected PDF file to another machince you own like
if you get a new computer

There is an option in document security to restrict content copying and
extraction.

I am sure that many of us would be interested in knowing about your security
system
