> However, whenever the links are followed the target file opens
properly but fails to jump to the desired page. It should be noted
that all link creations are done in MSWord manually using the
Insert->Hyperlink item (eventually programatically in VBScript ). I
think I'm missing something very simple but for the life of me I
can't tell what. Any light on this problem would be much
 appreciated. Many Thanks!!

That will result in a Hyperlink field with something like "myDocs\target.pdf \l
"page=2" " in it. That is, it is going to try to make a link to a Named
Destination "page=2" - As a test, add such a Named Destination in the PDF and
then see if your link jumps there.

Ok here's the latest with the PDF link problem:

1. Linking to named destinations has made no difference over linking to actual page numbers. The result is identical. I.e., linking to
"mydoc/target.pdf#page=7" vs. linking to
"mydoc/target.pdf#nameddest=page6"
opens the target.pdf document only to the first page.

To note: we're using Acrobat 5.0 but testing on 5.1 has made no difference in the opening process.

Likewise, this.disclosed = true; brought no joy either.
