Previously under IE 5.0 I was able to link to specific PDF pages on a local server (i.e. not over the internet) via a _javascript_ using the syntax:

filename.pdf#page=5&view=fit

When I upgraded to IE 6.0 to get other capabilities, this specific page linking quit working. It will still open the file, but not to the right page.

I researched it and it seemed the new version of Acrobat Reader 6.0.1 was supposed to fix this problem, but apparently it does not and now I am even having problems just opening files with this version. Reader hangs while trying to open the file.

Is there a new version of Reader coming out soon that will fix this problem? Any work arounds?
