You cannot prevent it.

The problem is that your printer is not properly processing the
PostScript generated when you print from Acrobat / Acrobat Reader /
Adobe Reader. You most likely have a printer that in lieu of Adobe
PostScript, has some type of defective third-party "emulation" of
PostScript. Call your printer manufacturer's tech support group
and see if they have a firmware update to fix the problem. Such
updates have commonly been available for some Lexmark and Hewlett-Packard
"clonescript" printers.
