Hi - I am trying to improve the usability of a PDF that someone else was creating using the Acrobat Distiller (source is Word 2002, using Acrobat 5.05). I have configured PDFMaker to create bookmarks from Headings 1-4. Headings 1-4 are set up to auto number. The bookmarks are created, but the numbers are not carrying through. Can anyone suggest a way to fix this? I also have a question about the "Embed Tags in PDF" option on the Office tab of the PDFMaker conversion settings. What exactly does this do for me? When I use it create the PDF the file size of the PDF is more than twice that of the source Word file. When I disable the option and create the PDF, the PDF file size is approximately the same as the Word file, and I seem to get the functionality that I need (cross ref links, bookmarks, hot TOC links, HTTP links). Am I missing something important when I disable this option? Please do copy my address in any reply as I am on the digest version. Thanks!
