Just to clarify - I believe Jukka's request was for someone who can generate a
.net binary (using the Ikvm cross compiler) to post that binary to the jira
(PDFBOX-535) issue as an attachment. As an interim solution. Not that it
would necessarily be included in the release.

Those who need a .net version should gravitate to that issue and there could
decide on their own whether to use the attachment independent of the actual
release.

You are correct that anything included in actual releases should be signed
builds by core development.

I don't use .NET so it doesn't really matter to me personally, but doesn't
accepting a binary file from just anyone seem a little risky? Binary
packages which are signed by core developers is one thing, but a binary
from some unknown 3rd party is a bit different. Just my 2 cents.

Jukka Zitting commented on PDFBOX-535:
--------------------------------------

I'm getting a number of comments on blog about .NET binaries for the
0.8.0-incubating release, so it seems like there's reasonably wide demand
for them.

I'm not sure if many of the current committers have .NET environments
readily available for producing or reviewing such binaries. This may be a
blocker for getting official release packages out.

As a workaround for now I would suggest anyone with IKVM installed to
create the .NET binaries for 0.8.0-incubating and attach them here. This
would solve the immediate need while we look for a more long term
solution.

> I need the .net version of PDFBox 0.8.0 incubator as it is available for
previous version and we were using it but version 7.3 does handles pdf
version 1.5 and now I have seen that it has been resolved (PDFBOX-361) for
V0.8.0. so kindly provide .Net Binaries for the release PDFBox 0.8.0
incubator, so that I could be able to get rid of this error for my
solution.
