That sounds like an accurate summary based on my view of the traffic.
Thanks for the review.
I would like to know if we have any idea of a schedule for the next release
(which I assume would be '1.0' and as a TLP)?
Yes, AFAIU we have a lazy consensus about that. The next version will be 1.0.0
without incubation status unless something unforeseen will happen.
I'm not rushing things - I'm looking for quality here rather than speed - but
there are several things in this next release that my Project would benefit
from and I can't take an interim build. So we'll need to plan which of our own
releases will be able to get the next PDFBox release into.
So any thoughts on what the schedule is shaping up into would be appreciated,
no matter how rough the estimates.
IMHO there are 2 todos before we are able to release a new version. First we
have to wait until everything (web, svn, mailinglists etc.) is moved out of the
incubator. I'm on it but I'm waiting for someone who helps me out with the
infra-things. Second we have to wait until Jukka switches the pdfbox build from
ant to maven.
Let me guess, I hope pdfbox 1.0.0 will be some kind of a xmas present ;-)

Subject: PDFBox report due
Hi,
here's a quick draft of the board report we're expected to submit this
month. Please have a look at it.
<draft>
General Comments
There are no issues that require Board attention.
We are still working on transfering PDFBox from the incubator to its new
home as an Apache TLP.
JempBox
Jukka switched the JempBox build from ant to maven. We are discussing to
replace JempBox with Apache XMLGraphics. Jeremias volunteers to implement
the missing features which are needed by PDFBox.
FontBox
Jukka switched the FontBox build from ant to maven. Andreas tries to fix
a major issue with truetype fonts. Additionally we have to check on a
contribution from the community which adds support for Adobe CFF/Type2
fonts to FontBox.
PDFBox
Jukka works on switching the PDFBox build from ant to maven.
The activity on both user@ and dev@ mailing list is increasing slightly.
There is a steady stream of contributions and bug reports from the
community.
We are planning to release a first version as Apache TLP, just right after
Jukka finishs switching the build tool.
