Images in the background are getting a gray shade

Hi,

I have a PDF that has some images (in a cascaded form) in the background. In
the foreground it has some text and graph. When I just load the PDF and save
it with a different name, in the new PDF, I see the background images
darkened with a gray shade. This shade wasn’t there in the original PDF.

Can someone help me find out, why this might be happening?
