Possibly naiively,  I assume that E:\SDK\SDK Installer.exe on my Acrobat 5.0 CD installs the Acrobat SDK.  I have not upgraded to 6, so I can't say what's improved.  I was surprised by how limited the 5.0 API is in the printing area.

My experience is that you can automate printing to the default Windows printer via COM/OLE but you need to write a plug-in to do less trivial stuff.

        Depends on if you are using Reader or FULL Acrobat.  For the latter, you can do a lot of stuff with the new APIs in Acrobat 6 for printing...For printing from Reader, yes, you are quite limited.
