Nope. There are no available document conversion systems for systems other than Windows.
My first is convert all documents formats, on the fly, to PDF and view with Acrobat Reader. The original document remain in original format. Ex: doc1.doc(in database) -> doc1.pdf(publish). The next step is OCR, Annotation,...
You could attempt to piece one together from multiple components such as AbiWord, OpenOffice going through Postscript to Ghostscript to PDF...It has been done on a limited basis by some existing open source projects...
