Hey gang,
I have used xfdf in IE using ASP to query the database, stream XFDF back to the browser to bring up Acrobat. It works like a champ using asp, however, I can't get the XFDF to come up in Acrobat using ASP.NET.
The code below works fine in asp (for simplicity I removed the field data), but when I use it in ASP.NET, the XML that is streamed back comes up in the .net IDE instead of Acrobat. I tried this on another machine and the XML came up in notepad.
stXML = "<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>"
stXML = stXML & "<xfdf xmlns='http://ns.adobe.com/xfdf/' xml:space='preserve'>"
'stPDFfile is the PDF to bring up. (Yes this is a valid PDF file)
stXML = stXML & "<f href=''/>"
stXML = stXML & "<fields>"
stXML = stXML & "</fields>"
stXML = stXML & "</xfdf>"
'set the content type to fire up the acrobat reader
Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.adobe.xfdf"
'write the form data to the browser
Response.Write stXML
Any suggestions?
Phil
