Hi,

I wrote some time ago a plug-in for Acrobat 5.0 with only a replacement of the AVDocOpenFromFileWithParams built-in function.

I use the skeleton STARTER application furnished with the 5.0 SDK with just the method REPLACE in the PluginImportReplaceAndRegister procedure, ie :

myAVDocOpenCallback =
ASCallbackCreateReplacement(AVDocOpenFromFileWithParamsSEL
        , &monAVDocWillOpen);
REPLACE(gAcroViewHFT
        , AVDocOpenFromFileWithParamsSEL
        , myAVDocOpenCallback);

I free my callback in the PluginUnload procedure :

ASCallbackDestroy(myAVDocOpenCallback);

In Acrobat 6.0, when I run Acrobat with the plug-in and, even if I immediately close it (without opening any document), Acrobat keeps running in the background, with a near 100% CPU usage infinitely.
If I re-run Acrobat, a second instance starts, then a third, etc...

If I put the REPLACE line in comment, everything is fine, except that my plug-in doesn't work anymore (of course)...

I don't want to compile my plug-in with the new 6.0 SDK, because I want to keep compatibility with Acrobat 5.0.

Any idea or anyone with the same problem ?

I use Windows XP Pro SP1 and Acrobat 6.0 Pro.

Thanks
