Wouldn't be easier/better to just create the link correctly in the first
place? This is for a commercial product and as I said before everything
worked fine until Acrobat 6, so I'm thinking something has been changed. I
just need to figure out what and how to adjust my code for that change.

Thanks anyways.

You might try some form of batch editing of the binary code of the PDF
files, to shorten the path to the exe down to just the name of the exe file
you want to run when the link is clicked. You would need a binary editor
for this. Altering the line length may require the file to be repaired when
first run by the full version of Acrobat.
