Sridharan,
   If you are using MS Windows, the number of processors is transparent
to the user.  The Mutex, or any of the threading objects, will operate
the same way with any number of processors, all you need to worry about
is your threads. If you have that working you should be ok.

Thanks a lot for the information.

We don't have any control on getting updates from Adobe.

To resolve the multi-threading problem we are serializing the access to
PDF
library using "Mutex" objects. Since our application can run as two
different processes, is it possible to use Adobe's PDF library in
multiple
process environment simultaneously?

         Check with your Adobe contact as the current 6.1 version of the

PDFLibrary is fully thread-safe...Assuming your PDFL license is current,

you should be getting updates...
