Alas, I tried compiling directly but it complains about Freetype 2.  I
am assuming Hardy is a bit old for this version but I'm afraid I'm out
of time to troubleshoot. Glad to see that pdfedit is progressing,
though.  It has such great potential.  Thanks - John
