Yes, but you see, it is only by my trying to do it on my own, and
showing Mrs. Hocko what was going wrong, that at last enabled her to
figure out what settings needed to be thrown in order to make the
build work under cygwin.

That's why she is trying to encourage you to do as I did--try to build
it yourself, and let her know what is getting in the way, so that she
and the other project administrators can tell whether or not it is
packaged well enough for people to download and build it
automatically.

Well, it took a number of trials and errors for Mrs. Hocko to figure
out, from what I reported back, what was going wrong--but if you were
following this thread, you saw that, bit by bit, she DID figure it
out, and ultimately, was able to guide me to a successful build.

I'll be happy to pack up and send you the compiled pdfedit when I get
back to my office next week, but in the meantime, I do encourage you
to report, here, what your problems are so they can be fixed:  after
all, if YOU are having a problem building it, probably someone else
will too, for the same reason.
