Well, that too but primarily inserting signature blocks that prompt for a
digital certificate.
We have organizations that we do business with that use automated systems that
send out, for example, invoices, in PDF format. the systems do not apply the
editor extensions that allow saving of the filled-in forms, and as such require
someone to have the full version of acrobat in order to apply these extensions.
Would like to avoid having to a) buy the full version and b) avoid the pain of
keeping the damn thing up to date as it is a pain to install and update.

I asked the mailing list about inserting images into PDFs, and they told me
that the functionality has not been fully implemented yet. If you only need to
add signatures (and you have a Windows OS), then Nitro PDF Reader might be
useful to you.
