Assuming the current PDL-2.007_17 release (a.k.a., PDL-2.008 RC4)
tests out ok, I plan to release PDL-2.008 immediately following. Please
submit any remainingor outstanding issues of content for the final update
to Known_problems and theRelease_Notes.
As part of final checks, I've been testing builds of the various PDL-using
modules on CPAN with PDL-2.008 RC4 with a cygwin + win7 perl. I
don't have the perl -V output at the moment.
PDL::HMM -- fails to build in HMM.xs with the error that Core has no
member names propogate_badflag. This typo has been fixed and
the structure name is now propagate_badflag
PDL::Stats -- GLM/glm.pp has two instances of using propogate_badflag which
need to be corrected for spelling with PDL-2.008
PDL::IO::Grib -- fails perl Makefile.PL
PDL::DSP::Windows -- subtest 13 in explicit values of window fails
PDL::DSP::Fir -- won't build without PDL::DSP::Windows
PDL::IO::BareStore -- fails to build since requires 5.20.2 (why?)
Seems redundant with PDL::IO::FlexRaw capabilities but it is not
clear what was needed to clarify the PDL::IO::FlexRaw docs for
the author. Maybe a tutorial is needed.
PDL::Finance::TA
PDL::Finance::Talib -- Alien::Talib failed to make an install directory in a
system install location under /usr/local. In general a local install is not
necessarily going to have general write permissions for system folders.
PDL::IO::Image -- uses Alien::FreeImage, build cancelled before install
PDL::Opt::QP -- lots of Class:accessor type errors and problems
