PDL Users and Developers-
Recent development by kmx appears to have fixed
all the known issues for 64bit indexing support for PDL
and has resolved the problems where significance of
64bit integer values was being lost due to implicit
conversion through the double type.
There have also been a number of bugs as a results of
persistent investigation by users and developers (thanks
Matt!).
I would like to plan for a PDL-2.014 release within the
next few weeks with a notional release date of 12-Oct.
This release would include the fixes for 64bit support,
the above mentioned bugs and fixes for any other low
hanging fruit in the sf.net bugs tracker.
We'll start by pulling the longlong-double-fix branch
into master by this weekend to be followed soon after
by the fixes for outstanding bugs. That will be pushed
as a CPAN developers release for testing while the
additional bug fixes and development takes place.
