Presently, there is a huge perl transition (to 5.20) going on in Debian, so I
am a bit hesitant to upload any new PDL now.
However, the worst issue with implicit int->double conversion I saw involved
pointers on ia64 (that architecture seems to have an unusual memory layout,
so the problem was only visible there, but is a potential security problem on
any architecture).
If I find some time I can check manually on a ia64 Debian porterbox.
