All- I wanted to let you know the what and why of our current work in the main PDL-2.x branch at the sf.net git repository:
http://sourceforge.net/p/pdl/code/ci/master/tree/ The goal is to fix the outstanding bugs in the move to 64bit index support in order to have a stable, reliable "old-style PDL" to allow more agile development in the PDLA (PDL Agile) work on github to take place without causing problems for PDL users in more production oriented environments---those who have to get some work done. The chief problem is being tracked by the SF bug tracker #403: http://sourceforge.net/p/pdl/bugs/403/ This is particularly problematic because in addition to SEGFAULTs and crashes of perl, some of the failures just give the wrong output without an indication of a problem! :-( I request anyone with PP and PDL::Core debug experience to see if they can reproduce the failure(s) and to help solve the problem. It would be great to have a PDL-2.015 with these fixes in it before the holidays.
