Debian is up to the latest PDL release available in sid and buster (testing
and unstable) and if you install the build tools and dependencies it should
be a smooth build out of the box from CPAN from then on.
I took a look at the http://pdl.perl.org page and noticed that the docs for
getting PDL for linux are now a bit out of date. If you get things going
on debian/ubuntu, I would appreciate feedback to update our site.
