Summary: PLplot still unusable with X

Initial Comment:
PLplot on X86-64 with a bone-stock Fedora installation and Perl 5.12.2 and the
latest git hangs and crashes the whole Perl process on closure of an X window.

Following the example here:
  http://plplot.sourceforge.net/docbook-manual/plplot-html-5.9.7/perl.html

yields expected results (although the X window creates is HUUGE) until the
plend() call, which hangs. Closing the plot window causes Perl to exit to the
UNIX shell.

Message:
Though it is not perhaps very intuitive, after you call plend() you need to
click on the plot and then press the return key. Also, I believe that the
problem with PLplot crashing when you closed the X window (by clicking on
the X) has been fixed as of PLplot 5.9.8.
