Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 8 Private: No Submitted By: Craig DeForest (zowie) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: PLplot still unusable with X Initial Comment: PLplot on X86-64 with a bone-stock Fedora installation and Perl 5.12.2 and the latest git hangs and crashes the whole Perl process on closure of an X window. Following the example here: http://plplot.sourceforge.net/docbook-manual/plplot-html-5.9.7/perl.html yields expected results (although the X window creates is HUUGE) until the plend() call, which hangs. Closing the plot window causes Perl to exit to the UNIX shell. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Hazen Babcock (hbabcock) Date: 2011-11-13 09:46 Message: Though it is not perhaps very intuitive, after you call plend() you need to click on the plot and then press the return key. Also, I believe that the problem with PLplot crashing when you closed the X window (by clicking on the X) has been fixed as of PLplot 5.9.8. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100612&aid=3299615&group_id=612 _______________________________________________ PDL-porters mailing list PDL-porters@jach.hawaii.edu http://mailman.jach.hawaii.edu/mailman/listinfo/pdl-porters
