PLplot is using a rebase development strategy (which is what I believe
was the consensus of what would be good for PDL development). They are
using a script to ensure that the rebase strategy is used which
disallows non-conforming commits. It might be helpful to document the
rebase git strategy, add a tutorial, and maybe update DEVELOPMENT for
the coming PDL-2.008 release.
