I don't like the idea of one lens does it all for
several reasons.  First, if your one lens breaks for
any reason, you don't have a lens to shoot with.  Not
so good.  Second, the one lens does it all idea
involves too many compromises that result in poorer
images.  


A better idea is a two lens combination. I have a
friend, a Nikon owner, who has a two lens combination
that does  most if not all.  He uses a 24-50mm zoom
and a 70-300 zoom.  Optical quality is very good since
the zoom range is not required to extend from wide to
telephoto.  Each range is small enough and unique
enough to allow for quality optics.    What would the
Pentax equivalent of this be?
