I carry a small case in the van with a Pentax IQ-Zoom 90WR (Elitechrome 200), a Pen-S
(Tri-X), a Pen-EE (Plus-X)
(both 1/2 frame), an Olympus XA w/ A-11 flash (Royal Gold 200), and an Olympus Stylus
Infinity (Kodachrome 64)
(currently with film advance problems). The film sits in them for long periods of
time, except on hot sunny days
(rare in Seattle, right?). One or two go with me in my backpack to work every day,
selected based on where I'm
going, and what the weather / lighting is giving me to work with.
I'll also throw in either my Canonet with it's SE 45 mm f:1.9 lens and bottom mounted
folding film advance lever,
or my Canonet G-III QL-17 with it's 40 mm f:1.7 lens (currently with shutter problems)
if the mood strikes me.
I may shoot something just to remind me to go back later and explore it. Or capture a
transitory sunrise or
sunset, an interesting face, shadow, cloud, storm, reflection or auto wreck.
But if I go out to actually shoot something on purpose, it's a Pentax LX, MX,
Program-A, PZ-1p or Pentax 67 that
is packed / worn, with a good glass selection. Along goes a proper flash unit,
selecting from the AF140-C, AF160sa,
AF200T, AF280T, AF400T, AF330-FTZ, AF400-FTZ, AF500-FTZ, the Metz 45-CL4, or the
Norman 400-B with two LH-2 heads
and a Y cable.
And this from a guy who has trouble making decisions!
