I agree also but I do not think that new features and perceived quality are
necessarily mutually exclusive, although it seems like it.
I always considered a balance between modern features in a not gimmicky implementation
(I feel that both modern metering and AF can be useful features) combined with old
world built and material choice would a great idea. The Limited lenses fill this
concept; I just whish to see cameras along similar lines; not more cameras made of the
same material as the Airfix kits I built as a kid.

But they still offer the best expertise in camera building.

I agree. I just whish that someone made a modern interpretation of Leica values.
Something like Limited lenses.....
