Hi,
Sigma 24/2.8 is optically very good lens, with only drawback being
flare sensitive quite a lot. But remember, AF version of this lens is
known to be not very well built and many have complaint about it. So
if you go with Sigma, I'd suggest you to buy manual focus version of
the lens since in wideangles AF is really not that much important. I
personally prefer setting (hyperfocal) distance manually when using
24 mm. BTW, I own two MF 24 mm Sigmas and they are built OK, although
the second one developed some strange lens-coating deterioration.
I don't know much about 28 mm wideangles.
