No, the Z-1p is not discontinued. It's true that it's outdated
technologically in some areas (notably AF), but it's still a superb
camera. And, as the new MZ-S will probably not be regarded as a direct
replacement to it (some of its features are presumably lower end, such as
an 1/180 sec sync speed compared to the 1/250 sec of the Z-1p), the Z-1p
will probably survive for a while. The Z-20 has been long discontinued,
though.
