The MX is similar to the K-1000, but more compact, and has some very desirable features the K-1000 lacks... The MX uses Pentax Bayonet mount interchangeable lenses, has self timer, depth of field preview, shutter speeds from 1 second to 1/1000. plus bulb. (The K-1000 lacks self timer, depth of field preview, and will not accept a winder.) Suited to a variety of uses including Astronomical photography. A good camera for either a student or pro photographer. This one comes with 50mm f1.7 Pentax lens, Pentax Winder and Pentax AF-160 flash.
