My wife has an MZ-3, she spent a lot of time deciding between the 2 but
she has used the 1/4000th of a second on occasion so she is happy. I
find the MZ's a little on the small size and prefer the feel of the
Z1-p.
The Sigma 105EX is a very nice lens. I have had mine for over 18
months and haven't regretted buying it ever. It's extremely sharp,
even when blown up to 5 foot wide - I do a lot of slides and the detail
it can capture is amazing. I was torn between the Sigma and the Tamron
90. When I looked at both in the shop they didn't have the Tamron in
Pentax mount so it was attached to a Nikon something and the Sigma to
an MZ5n. The sales droid told me I should expect the Nikon to focus
faster - it focused slower. And though only looking through a
viewfinder the Sigma seemed sharper - I know the Tamron is sharp as a
friend of mine has one on his Minolta. It was probably the Nikon
camera that sold me on the Sigma, but as I said, I like it.
