I said, "Bellows A does not support auto aperture as in 'shutter priority...'" The
aperture will not be automatically adjusted to give the correct exposure. You cannot
set
an SMC A lens to "A", and expect to get aperture priority or program modes when
mounted on
bellows A.
I also said. "...nor does it allow the camera to automatically stop down the
aperture." Go
ahead. I challenge you. try to get the camera linkage to stop down the shutter. As you
admitted, you require the dual cable release to stop down the shutter. It is the second
cable to the lens board that stops down the shutter when you, not the camera, trip the
cable.
The Super Program is an excellent camera, and can most certainly be well used with
Bellows
A. On the other hand, the LX will offer ALL the capability obtained when using a Super
Program, including OTF flash, but in addition, it will offer:
1.) MLU,
2.) OTF automatic exposure using *ambient* light, and
3.) A great full available frame magnified viewfinder option.
These features will not be available when using a Super Program.
Regards,
Bob...
