I bought an LX on eBay that had the strap lugs attached, removed the
strap lugs, then resold the camera to the #2 bidder. My net cost was
about $15. This obviously wouldn't work if the #2 bidder didn't already
have several LXen. But still, if you get really desperate, it is a
possibility . . .
