Okay my well informed citizens of Pentaxia, I need some help with yet
another one...
I just put a Tamron 7 element 2x TeleConvertor on my FA 50mm f1.4, and am
absolutely delighted with what I now find in my ZX-M's viewfinder!
But.... some questions....
The 2x increases the focal length to 100mm. (That much is obvious, even to
me.) But if it also decreases the maximum aperture to f2.8, then how come my
ZX-M's viewfinder meter still wants me to shoot stuff at f1.4, 1.6, 2.0,
etc, when I put it on auto-program? Don't the contacts on the TC, or on the
lens, (combined) tell the camera it can't do that s--t?
And how do I handle it myself as far as exposure goes, if the ZX-M's meter
doesn't recognize the new setup?
Do I set the camera on aperture priority and never go below f2.8?
Or always manually double the f-stops that I see in the viewfinder?
Or should I just set the EV compensation to +2 everytime I have the TC on,
and forget about it?
Dazed and confused, but happy...
