Dan, I was to excited to care about it when I got my first Pentax,
   but now I test every new lens versus the ones I already own. It's
   not a formal test, rather a side by side brick wall shooting, at
   various apertures and focals, for comparative sharpness. As for
   flare, bokeh, AF speed, etc. I leave these for the later use.
     My tests don't really tell much more than I expect, but it sure
   back up the justification report I have to present after each
   purchase. ;o)
