Thanks to those who suggested the nomail option for subscribing without
receiving stacks of mail each day. Looks like a great way to stop feeling
guilty about lurking :-) Now that I can relinquish my membership of Lurkers
Anonymous, I'll introduce myself:
I'm an "enthusiastic amateur" using Pentax since 1986 (new MEsuper with
50/1.7A, 24-50/4A, 70-210/4A), and having bought MZ5n with 50/1.7F,
28-70/4FA and 80-320/4.5-5.6FA last year (so please add these to the body
count). In the last couple of years I've done a few paid assignments eg Rose
Queen crownings, amateur theatre cast photos, and covered costs or made a
small profit, but I've no wish to break into this as a full-time occupation.
I've just enrolled to do a City & Guilds 5 stage photography course doing
Landscape, Portraiture, Architecture (one of my favourites), The Art of
Black & White, and Still Life.
I've followed the list for a few months now and look forward to contributing
where I can.
Best Regards
James Brooks
